If you can’t see the aurora in person, then a webcam view might be the next best thing. Here you’ll find a list of all the webcams that are set up to capture the aurora, sorted by north to south. The map below shows exactly where they’re located.
The best webcam is at the Northern Studies Center in Churchill, Manitoba. It is the only one I’m aware of that actually captures live video, instead of pictures. It’s embedded at the bottom of the page.
Keep in mind that most webcams will shut off in the summer when there is too much daylight.
